You once said you "tend to put your wife under a pedestal".
Hmm, it is probably a good thing, I am not your wife. Because I would have knocked you off your pedastal when I rose up the very first morning.
My dear Rooster has firmly planted my patookie on his pedestal. I am his most precious queen. And if you don't believe me, call me ... email me ... and I will give you his contact information. He will let ya' know really quick that I am his queen.
I know all to well what it is like to be under someone's pedestal. Not going there again ...
My boys know that a pedestal is where their wife belongs, and my girls ... well, they have been severally spoiled to the fact ... they know they also belong on a pedestal. Their Poppa and their brothers have put them there ... and that is where they will firmly remain.
Being on a pedestal doesn't mean you sit around eating bon-bons all day. But it does mean that you are cherished, and loved beyond all imagination. Rooster has taught me and our girls that not only are we cherished and loved, but that we are also have a place at his table. Wives and daughters should never be treated as a second class citizen. We are the white to your black, the yin to your yang, the spur for your boot, well, hmmm ... maybe not your spur ... but you get the drift.
All though there are times I am probably the burr under his blanket ... but then again, I am also the one that usually pulls that burr out from underneath your blanket.
I love being Rooster's Queen ... it brings me peace, exhilaration, excitement, and joy ... all at the same moment in time ... every nano second ... is filled with his love ...
Thirteen years ... such a short span of time for so much love ...
